Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Working in claims

I would like to leave before my job is outsourced. What is your opinion, is working here in claims much worse than working in claims in another company in this industry?

The best part of working in Allstate claims is you can give yourself a nice weekly “bonus” and nobody realizes what you’ve done!!!

Claims pretty much su-k. But my worst day at Progressive is better than my best day at Allstate.

Allstate claims are known to be the worst. Whether it’s the EC group, or trying to short change the customer over a questionable CN call, the workload, the leaders, lowball estimates, you can do better anywhere.

You’d do better in a small insurance company If you still want to be in this industry. Maybe try becoming a Union organizer. I have a good idea which company is a good target. You’re in the good hands of TW. Remember that when the naysayers come out.

I left claims at esurance/Allstate after 8 years with the company and became a 911 dispatcher. Best decision I’ve ever made

We need someone to sell popcorn at our high school football games. You don’t have to return phone calls so it’s right up your alley.

I want out of any insurance or banking. The industry is just too unstable.

Claims su-k everywhere. You should look into being a police officer.
