In 2020 we were terrified of being laid off. When we were spared we felt so much relief and gratitude. However after three years of seeing such a decline and downfall of this company. And after being beaten down, demoralized, and exhibited to failed processes my entire group is actually praying that we get laid off. We openly talk about it and our leader is right there with us. It has gotten that bad. Just give us a package and let us go.

@nml+1o1XESyT Look, I’m no fan of Allstate. The best decision I ever made was leaving that company. But Travelers is far from profitable. They’re implementing some of the strictest underwriting guidelines that I’ve seen. They pay claims better than Allstate, but don’t be fooled into believing they’re profitable.
What they put us through in 2020 was sadistic. Sadly, now you probably won’t even get severance!
Not sure what area OP works but our area is pretty much the same. Our DM's openly joke about "getting the call". No one cares about this mismanaged and dysfunctional dumpster fire. I know so many people hope to be part of the next RIF to get their severance and unemployment. Our area works and is productive for ourselves and not the company in particular but we really can't wait for severance and unemployment.
The leader wants to be laid off as well? Lol. How many hours per day do you work?
The company has really leaned into pushing claims employees to quiet quit.
Very well said OP. They are banking on more tenured folks quitting before any more lay offs. Thy aren’t quite ready to replace casualty claims yet. LDU is well under way with the transformation and Auto is India all day with very few Americans involved. I will give it more time but wow this place is tough. It’s really damaged a lot of people mentally who have been hoping for better treatment and respect, or at the very least a fast lay off. I need to set a deadline for my departure.
A lot of the old Nat Gen team wants to be out of here too - the complete lack of leadership is amazing at Allstate
My homeowners renewal from NatGen aka Allstate went up 78%. No claims filed. I am moving to Travelers, much cheaper and they are actually profitable.
