Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Unmanageable workloads

I too have more work than I used to, but I could never say that I now do double or triple workloads like some people here do.
Quite simply, such an overload would be physically and mentally impossible for me to bear, even though I've always had a lot to do myself ever since I started working here.
I'm really curious how some of you manage to do the work for two or three people?

Its been like this close to a decade, ever since they burned the legacy SF employees and changed them out for low skilled high turnover "warm bodies"

They done nothing to address the understaffing and over workload in this time. At this point we have to assume its as planned, otherwise, they would do any number of things their employees have been complaining about since legacy SF was destroyed.

Its all talk, in an attempt to motivate you to over work yourself for them, until you burn out and leave.

Im tired of emails with words saying they care about us, while their actions show the complete opposite.

Challenge your TM on heavy workloads. Ask your TM for names of claim reps that are are successfully able to handle their work so that you may learn productivity tips from them. I've done this (w/courtesy & respect) with my TM. Several time she tried to steer toward cat CR's, which I told her there's a huge difference b/t total loss fire and doing missing shingles. She could never provide successful examples that we could learn from (because it's exceptional and non-lasting). I ended up labeled as being non-conformist with SF's changing business practices.

Me: former field fire claim rep of 20+ years that decided to retire early. This was because of unreasonable work load and crazed TM (all 5 seasoned CR's left her within 2 years).

Tipstard couldn't lead a girl scout troop. Oops, check that...better make it a boys scout troop as the girls aren't sage around him. Oops check that...the boys aren't safe either...

Its ez not to care about quality of work at SF because of the way employees are poorly treated. You get what you put into your workforce. Garbage in, garbage out.

Tipstard is always able to manage my load. He's had plenty of practice.

I work to meet my metrics, quality be damned. Once daily metric goals are met, I cruise the rest of the day every day. Need more closures? No problem, claims closed. Need more calls answered. No problem, I have my work friends call me. Gotta complete tasks, sure, Ill create my own. So ez to defeat these kkklowns.

Its why most here dont care about the work they do. The board of directors doesnt care, executives dont care, why should we?

If you want work done properly, staff properly. If you cant staff properly, you are paying under the market clearing rate for labor, end of story.

It creeps up on you, in ways that you don't notice until you realize that you are underwater, and no one is coming to rescue you.

I moved positions and spent a year recovering from burnout from my prior role.

You can't, really. You take shortcuts like telling plaintiff attorneys they may as well go ahead and file suit so you don't have to do authority requests. It's all a big game, Tippy and Co doesn't give a cr-p.
