The Gainwell Employee Handbook is out. We are all required to read it and sign off on it. If you just skimmed it you should do yourself a favor and read it. It comes off more like a declaration of war against its employees more than anything. There are 82 references to “termination” or “terminated” all involving ways the company can and will fire us. There’s even a section that stipulates that they reserve the right to inspect our laptops via human or automated means in the presence or absence of the employee without notice.

Not too long ago, we were all required to sign an arbitration agreement. Now, it is certifying the employee handbook. Anyone from HR have a reason why such activities are occurring? Why has Gainwell become an increasingly unfriendly place for its employees?
