Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

I haven't heard about more cuts today

Can we conclude it's over for now?

It’s not over. There were more cuts Monday July 17.

You know what ? Just keep learning to make sure you are marketable and can find another job. Microsoft just laid off 200+ staff earlier in the week. No prior notice. So anyone can be laid off any time and any where.

More like continuing through August/September or more like continuing through December?

Being relevant, learning and in demand has zero to do with it. Not that it’s a bad thing, it just doesn’t get a line on safra spreadsheet.

Over for a couple of months… it never ends. I joined 2 years ago and I’m tired of thinking when my role will be impacted , no way people can be engaged and working as usual ..I am leaving !

Why does it matter if it's over or not? Always be prepared for the fact you could get a 15 min diary invite at any point. It keeps you relevant, learning and in demand.
