Additional RIF is expected sometime in FY24 Q1-Q2

The word is they're aiming for a 7-8% cut on headcount in the US

Close ectra DCs and factories based on vol and no of projects. Just cut some employees here and there won't help a lot.

Fremont is on the blocks. Think of it / Seagate pays higher in Bay Area than rest of the USA. Where does the money go? To property prices and government taxes - generally cost of living. Does company get any special talent for that price? Not at all. Then why not reduce cost to company by moving all those people to another city and reducing opex??

So are they screwing people cut in May and not paying the owed severance? That's the chatter. Seagate is already bankrupt but it will take a while before it's announced officially.

I suppose they can keep whacking all the staff and eventually all those VPs and Directors, who has each other's back, will eventually have to start doing some of the work.
