Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

What's going on at Luxoft

Luxoft CEO and COO have both left the company in the last 2 weeks. The timing seems very odd to say the least. First the CFO leaves DXC then Luxoft/DXC announces that they accidentally violated Russian sanctions. Now the senior staff at the Luxoft team is either quiting.... or something else? What do you'll make of this? I've heard rumors that Luxoft is going to get folded into the broader organization but this is all rampant speculation. Anyone have the details?

@3ysw+1nz9CGkd Any speculation as to why they both left at the same time then?

Seems like this is fake news. Not heard any communication on this one.

@wnj+1nz9CGkd I am not an employee, I am well aware of the history and no I'm not surprised by the sanctions violation. What I want to know is why are the COO and CEO just leaving now? I know with 100% confidence that it wasn't amicable. Are they just angry at DXC for messing up luxoft? If so why are they calling out Lawrie and not Salvino? I think it looks like something else is happening at luxoft/DXC.

Luxoft was a great organization (like Virtual Clarity) that was purchased, subsumed, and ultimately broken by DXC.

But, but, but. DXC has historically had a lot of links to the western defence sector. UKI had a massive presence in sector and a lot of their biggest clients were defence related. So DXC purchased a Russian company, expecting this not to alarm their clients. Then, in the UK at least, they decided to WFR most of their own consulting capability and keep the Luxoft team. Oops. Now they had almost no consulting capability without some sort of link to Russia. Guess how well that was received by the defence sector clients!

Violating sanctions. Are you surprised? Mad Mike will do anything for a few more $M in his bank account, especially if he can blame someone else. Nothing surprises me any more.

I got out a long time ago, and you should too if you're unfortunate enough to still work for the most morally bankrupt company in the tech sector.

Luxsoft also sounds like sinking.

Luxsoft was a world class company with cutting edge products and services when we "acquired" them.
We did not deserve something so precious and pristine.
It is like the dog chasing the Bentely, we finally got it but didn't know what to do with it.
So, we ended up doing what we had done to other prized acquisitions in the past.. namely strip the organisation of "expensive" resources in the name of cost cutting, thereby losing valuable experience and expertise. Once Luxsoft was stripped of its human assets , nothing was left.
