Keep in mind, everyone’s situation is different. I’ve been actively seeking a new job for years. It’s hard when your company is technologically re--rded and you’ve been doing the same job for years. And you’re over 50. Congratulations to those of you who are younger and have found new opportunities, sincerely happy for you.
On my way out. Will save as many coworkers as I can once settled. While interviewing, if a role doesn’t work out for me, I always refer to another USAA coworker who would also be qualified for the role. The good guys gotta stick together.
I just got a 30% bump by jumping ship and only 2 days in office vs 4. Enjoy the inflation and vehicle wear and tear 😂😂

For anyone who's made the switch, please keep posting about switching to other companies and what it's like after doing that - every time I contemplate staying because of my fear, I read your posts and then start putting in more energy to leave, even though I'm around 10 years behind technically from the industry and scared that I won't get a new job because of that, so I stay because the amount to learn is a lot.

Yes, it does take courage to start looking elsewhere. I started applying elsewhere in early February, got hired at TD Bank and started in April, same job (deposit accounts), higher salary, it’s less responsibility and remote, with the exception where I go into office once a quarter for a week when all my team goes in.
I, for one, will contribute to this site regularly and for a long time. When class action lawsuits are filed, I will contribute my experience and whatever I can for the employees who have suffered, either current or ex employees.
What was done was horrific. No peacock a$$ kisser will dissuade me in the least.
All of this just highlights how employees need more protections in the workplace.

Never forget, and I for one am using this as an example of the worst employer I have ever had. It's important to move on for many reasons, and just as important to trash a horrible employer.
I stayed about 1 year too long. Things started to go downhill, and I kept thinking that it will all get straightened out. I have found much greener grass elsewhere!
