And you know this how???
Layoffs coming towards end of November as budget review for 2024 is near completion.
Working class and proud 👍🏻👍🏻
Obviously the singing dope on the 10 hour day shift.
To the staff who are "taking a pay cut".
Are you stupid ? People are getting laid off because of bad management and the fat cat shareholders won't take a pay cut for the zero work they put in.
The company is still making millions upon millions in profits, just a tiny bit less this year.
It's greed that's causing the lay offs/pay cuts and nothing else. Don't be stupid enough to take a pay cut and think it will save your job.
And they're surprised some people dont like working here.
those who agree to the cut may get it back in good time
Must be the educated people on salary who are taken a cut🤣
Wage cuts?!! What’s this about?
Seriously? ,we (staff) are taking cuts in our wages and dont wish to be reading these nonsense posts.we have remained silent and get on with it.yes people it is about money.i sincerely hope you will not be asked to do similar.
If you have no information about layoffs kindly leave and get back with the kids on fb etc.
Not like you "danger"you know everyone's buisness
What redundancies were made last week ? I must have missed that
After more layoffs in wexford this week astounding to hear voluntary redundancies will not be offered for fear of so many people putting their hands up the place wouldn't be able to function.such is the mistrust in the place it looks like the only way forward is to take out the whole management team as happens with the executive board every couple of years
The new site in Birmingham will make spectrometer parts not colum hardware.also pillar one is applicable in every country so there is no need to be moving.stop worrying, waters are here to stay in wexford.
May be a good sign, colum hardware will now be made in Birmingham England, but surely make more sense to produce them on site in Ireland.Work is well underway on Waters Corporation’s new facility at St Modwen’s Longbridge Business Park.
The new industry-leading scientific precision engineering centre located on the former West Works site and is being built by Midlands-based contractor Speller Metcalfe on behalf of St. Modwen Developments for Waters Corporation.
Waters Corporation is a global leader in analytical instruments and software serving the life, materials and food sciences for more than 60 years. The multinational company based in the U.S. has more than 7,800 employees worldwide with more than 1,000 of these employed across England and Ireland. The company will be bringing a new industry-leading precision engineering centre across three acres on Longbridge Business Park.
This new building is set to replace their existing premises in Solihull and increase space by 300% for the Waters Corporation, and with it the provision of over 100 jobs.
Located on land just off Bristol Road South, St Modwen Developments hope that this new scheme will expand their business park, which has already provided a boost to the local economy and created a significant number of jobs for local residents.
The real reason waters want out of Ireland by 2024 is Pillar 1 of the OECD’s reforms that will dramatically erode Ireland’s future income from corporate taxes. This reform will reallocate a share of company profits to where sales (or users) are actually located. Previously, tax liability was calculated on where the company or its subsidiary was legally based, no matter how many profits it rerouted from other parts of the world for tax-avoiding purposes. For Ireland, the consequences are obvious: U.S. multinationals operating in the EU will be forced to divide some of their sales by member state, thus significantly reducing the amount of sales and profits that can be “booked” through Ireland. This reform is due to come into force in 2024. The end of Ireland’s windfall is therefore only a matter of time.
Be thankful all you have to worry about is getting laid off.waters wexford sends solidarity and support to the people of palestine after the butchering of 500 hospital patients by american backed Israel.🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪
People aren't disgruntled with the work in Waters. It's the cr-p management and nepotism that annoys them.
And they manage to mess everything up. The last round of lay offs was last in, first out, unless you're pals with management of course.
Nor should they
Not 1 team leader has packed a column.
People observe/notice every move/comment/attitude of the Leader and this can significantly impress and affect every employee!
If you have a boss your working class whatever you want to call yourself, staff, manager director ,supervisor,or god knows what.get over yourselves.
Double goal requirements has already started, managers are doing projects, supervisors are teamleading ,teamleaders are packing, chemists are supervising, packers are making up orders, packers are making mobiles and chambers, boxing are torquing colums and packing, tech support are packing production,so called ideas people are packing.what a mess🙄
Make packets collect their own chambers especially now their doing feic all
Waters is not the cause of widespread disgruntlement, nor is the work.it's a small few self entited people who believe they can ignore waters own fairness and equality documents.imagine trying to lay someone off because they are out sick even to the extent of ignoring basic procedure and then have to reinstate them.did they really believe the employee wouldn't notice.simple rules, simple to follow, and you will have a happy workplace.
To those colleagues who put up with the years of bias and mistreatment, please ignore those childish sarcastic comments from management.its understandable to voice your grievances anonymously .you have seen how others have been blackballed for openly voicing their opinions
It's his playground,I'm sure if he ever steps into yours you would see a different story.
I would urge people to read Liam's post v Chris's.one a professional sensible explanation of the situation the company is in,the other a poor me cry for support, more antagonising the situation than helping.man and boy really.i usually ignore fools because you cant argue with them, but to assume the majority supports your view is presumptuous and foolish.
I urge the people who have been unfairly targeted in these pathetic messages to ignore the handful of typing tough guys who choose this forum as the place to make their brave stand anonymously. They represent a very small minority of the staff and have views that are not an accurate reflection of a much larger majority. The comments are negatively biased throughout this forum because of these repeat offenders with a misguided agenda. I do sympathise with them however, as it must be difficult to dislike one's job so much that you can't seek employment elsewhere. I would also like to commend the recent efforts of all who have tried to raise morale and create a more enjoyable place to work, even for the unappreciative staff, who are likely to have a few more comments on this post. To everyone who actively tries to bring a positive influence, your efforts have not gone unnoticed and are much appreciated.

The company's President and CEO Udit Batra shared this information with the visiting business delegation headed by Karnataka's large and medium industries & infrastructure minister M B Patil in Boston, USA.

The delegation headed by Patil also did a tour of the Waters’ analytical instrument-manufacturing factory to better understand the product, which would be a game changer for life sciences and material testing.
“The meeting with Waters also discussed developing in-house knowledge and training strategic workforce with government collaboration. Waters Corporation is a leading specialty measurement company focused on improving human health and well-being through the application of high-value analytical technologies and industry-leading scientific expertise”, it said.

If you think you can do it better, ask for rework training and show how f..k awesome you are.

???????????????????
Dear ,,Young Idol", you waited in line for the rework. You do not have exclusive use of the rework staff. If you have to wait, you order new hardware and continue production. Refresh your knowledge of CM rules instead of insulting your senior colleagues. By the way: Your hate exposes your low level in relationships. Tell me, are you going to make it to 50 or are you going to die young?

Don't know what this is about? Next year, only half of the staff will work in the CM department. The remaining half will have to achieve a double goal to satisfy management. Think about it, why do they install electronic supervision over production and testing?
Yea increase output without any extra equipment or help seems reasonable. And how/who ca
me up with the impossible targets anyway because they aren't based on reality. €1000 to any of the clowns upstairs that made up the targets to spend a day packing and reach the target.
You could say that Waters has a family atmosphere...literally.
