Mass Layoffs today at Waters Corp. ahead of earnings announcement in a few weeks, unsure of the total number of people impacted. CEO sent a message early this morning with a picture of him smiling ear to ear accompanying the message.

Awe the baahbee wants to be a bullee.....please dont suspend me I test all the colums😫😫😫😫
Niall-could you finally stop bullying your people?
End to end sustainability production in waters new chemistry precision plant just opened can only mean one of two options for the wexford plant
- become a turnkey manufacturer(unlikely in this day and age of sustainable supply chains)2 closure(with uk new plant becoming end to end production facility for instruments eaa)
E.O'L leave Ken alone. Why would you even need maintenance anyway ?
There is no such thing as a "hiring ban".
the only people benefiting from the hiring ban are the people who missed out on working in Waters.
How many upstairs workers are on maternity leave ?
If ye dont let me go chipper I'm going home😫
That would be to reveal my identity I'm afraid.
"Upstairs worker". Are you paid hourly or on a salary.
Actually yes.infact people have taken pregnancy leave and told there was no rise or new package when they return.ZERO!!!
"Upstairs worker".
The burning question. Are all the upstairs "promotions" being made to wait for their pay increase like the production workers aswell ?
Of course not, now back to work peasants.
The more they push the production staff, the less they do. It used to be that Waters always had a steady stream of new employees they could exploit for a year or two.
Not anymore and the employees that are left have all witnessed the bulls**t and are doing less than the bare minimum. It's hilarious and another 1 of the things that shows the atrocious leadership in Waters.
Finally someone wrote factually and clearly. It's a pity that this "revolution" takes place only on the pages of this website. In fact, everyone hangs their heads and silently complains. It is true that there are colleagues among us who want to stay at Waters but cannot count on a permanent contract, while others would gladly leave the company if only they received a fair severance package, which they will never see because of the stingy CEO.
Pressure me ar-e the work here is a piece of pi-s.colums pass ,colums fail, not your problem.learn the dark arts of colum packing, afterall that's how they're developed.strike?gway will ye.the big hardmen in waters wouldnt go out in the dark to get coal.
This is a joke!!!
Waters is still making millions upon millions in profits, delaying annual raises is ridiculous. We work hard all year round - it's you who can't manage to sell it. Why should we be punished?
Even though these raises are ridiculously low, they still mean something to people. Your demands are getting higher, people are working under increased pressure, it's no wonder they're starting to leave - but maybe that's what you want? To turn this place into a labor camp? Celtic will soon have better working conditions.
Another issue is the system of annual bonuses. How come everyone in the office receives them and yet barely anyone on the floor got one - it's the people on the floor that work the hardest. Why did you give annual bonuses and a promotion program for talented employees, yet there is no money left for raises? Maybe it's time for a change? Maybe a small strike would wake you up??? We need trade unions here - maybe then you will start taking people seriously.
I have an idea to boost morale and increase output, we put up a board of the "top 10 worst performing stations " and put up which stations fail to meet target or that has a few fails, regardless of the reason such as a bad order or long pack time or station break down, put it up on the board for all to see, I feel that will really make the peasants packing up their output. Seriously whoever thought this was a good idea give your head a wobble or better yet spend a week on the floor and see how you do!!
Anyone can be promoted.getting paid for it is another thing.it is also a vulgar attempt to morale boost talented employees getting itchy feet to move on.
What's with all the promotions in waters Wexford? You Lay alot of people off, there's alot of uncertainty in the place of its future, telling people there's a hire freeze, but put up on notice boards of several promotion's within the plant
Overuse of exclamation mark, otherwise fair comment but also mutualist.
We dont need you blind boy!!!!!👀
Down with that ould flirting mullarkey
He needed the cash for his summer vacation.
We are all in this together.
Prior to letting employees know that annual pay raises would be deferred for 6 months (and as layoffs continue), the CEO sold over $2 million in Waters shares. How’s that for an indomitable spirit?
Can we request a new manager in Wexford columns manufacturing please, preferably, a competent and non corrupt one. The current manager is Scallandalous and were also a little tired of his preferential treatment for his friends.
What's that? Have you been slacking all year? Here's a pay rise mate! You got family that work here you say? Well lets get you a special job then, here's a Kiazen you can do buddy! You want to go feed your pigeons in the middle of the day on company time, not even during your break? Of course you can, here's some corn! Want to go on break 20 minutes early to play pool? No bother amigos! Are you a young girl I can have a little flirt with while my wife is working just down the hallway? Well I'll just have to let you get away with mu---r then! Disgraceful.
A word of advice. A manager should not try and put unnecessary constant pressure on their team. You should stick up for us now and again and not look for the first opportunity to throw us under the bus. Self serving, su-k up that doesn't know the meaning of the word loyalty. I mean, where did you find this guy, Burger Mac?
Delayed salary increases by 6 months?!! More layoffs? How is this not making the news?
HANGMAN!!!
So the big man himself has emailed everyone with the 2023 end of year results.
Unfortunately "we missed our Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and experienced a decline in sales after three consecutive years of growth".
We were going good there for 3 years thing must really have gone south in 2023 to see so many lay offs throughout the company.
"For the full year, sales declined 0.5%". And no that's not a typo.
Of course a few handpicked people will get a payrise for being an outstanding employees. It's so above board that the rest of the employees aren't even told who receives the payrise.
It's ment to be an achievement for excellent work throughout the year and should be applauded by everyone.
But instead it will be given to people (friends) who aren't the best workers, and they will try their best to keep it all hush hush because it's all so transparent and fair. While the rest pray that they will lucky enough to even get the 1% wage adjustment.
I wonder will anyones wages go up with the living wage going up. People leaving left right and centre because waters no longer is a good place to work.
That's not how it works in Waters and stop pretending it is no-one applies they are handpicked by friends/family.
Maybe an equal opportunity for all employees to show interest or a chance to sign up before its already been decided might help.
Grow up big baby😭 if it's annoying you so much speak up about it and put Ur name forward to be included in the project.
So our overlords are doing a Kiazen project to improve efficiency in column manufacturing. So, in their great wisdom, they decided to hand pick an operator to be the head of the project. They only go and an employee who isn't even a permanent employee. Was it the vast experience in columns or their brother working upstairs 🤔.
1st comment of 2024 and no change. 90% of production been hounded, while the 10% pets continue to do sweet F all and management still clueless.
Bottom of the Christmas bonus league again.finishing with a miserable 120e a full 120 behind second last, the social welfare office.disgraceful performance from one of the richest club's in the league.

Waters meet expectations of gender equality in the workplace.to exceed (their own mantra)those expectations the wexford plant needs to stop padding up mid level and under with female employees just for the sake of it.highly qualified and talented female workers deserve their place in leadership roles.we all know the higher up the chain the higher the bonus.God forbid it seems in wexford a woman would earn more than a man.
Time to address the male/female imbalance a few more percent.
We need a woman at the top table in wexford.
Male toxicity stinks here.
Anybody have any idea when Christmas vouchers are being given out this year ? Trying to rack my brain back to last year's but drawing a blank.
Yoda I am
