Does the leadership team understand the debilitating anxiety they are causing for a good chunk of their staff? Is this the “culture” they dreamed of? Do they even know what change fatigue is? I’m seriously questioning Doniel Sutton’s qualifications.

Me too. I’ve been so upset and scared about losing my job that I haven’t even really been able to leave my apartment for the past couple of weeks. I lay on the sofa all day or in bed, curled up in a ball with my dog, sweating.

I hate what Alteryx has done to me and the stress it has placed in my life.

I’m scared of being laid off. I hate this uncertainty.

If you look at the recent few months worth of reviews on Glassdoor.com, you will see how far that Alteryx has fallen, so quickly.

The wheels have literally come off the Alteryx bus and the company is coasting to a stop. Meanwhile the senior leadership continues acting as if everything is fine, while laying off more and more people on the sly.

What a racket. Get out while you can !!

As said, brace for layoff impact. Layoff scripts will start being read by managers to affected employees beginning on August 1 and continuing through around August 10.

Alteryx has been on the block for a while now. Despite a low market cap, no one is stepping up to buy the company.

There’s a reason for that.

Are we getting acquired? That’s the only plausible reason for all the recent changes.

2022 was a huge year of empire building across Alteryx, as many new execs came in and seemed very "enabled" to frivolously make vanity hires to pad their staffs and build their teams. So many unnecessary new functions and teams that are showing little to no real true value.

The CMO is particularly guilty of this, yet was also ruthless in laying off people he didn't like, particularly if he didn't personally hire them, or they were already in their position before he came aboard.

It's so striking about how the company professed to be so caring about employees, everyone from the CEO on down acting all sympathetic and saying how they care about the employees. But Alteryx is just like many other vendors, they will ax you and throw you aside without batting an eyelash.

Too many roles that are not needed. Too many and frequent promotions for these unnecessary roles too ! All adding up to wastage of company money and demotivating truly hardworking people - sad state. So much revelry in channels, marketing, value engineering , digital success …….. no impact on business. So many redundant roles juat surviving on optics of some badly designed KPIs! If only the C suite would scrutinize and get rid of excess. Leadership must change in some geographies too

What areas are getting targeted the most heavily?
Whatever areas have been noted to contain employees who are compensated for doing nothing all day. People managers with access to Workday can see that virtually every single role is listed as non-essential (sr.managers/directors/others).
Why was 50% determined as the bonus cut? It’s a pretty arbitrary number.
They might be conducting tests to determine who is divulging information. I've heard everything from 25/50/75% bonus cuts. It honestly depends on what type of beatdown company stock price takes. We'll see if it brings in new customers or turns more of them away after three hedge firms reportedly sold off their holdings last month.

Confirming previous posters.

Bonuses to be cut 50%

Stealth layoffs to commence prior to and after earnings announcement.

People will be starting to disappear at the end of July.

The recent EMEA stealth layoff was just left over from the 11% layoff earlier this year, due to UK and EMEA work council restrictions.

I'd rather have a lower bonus and we keep our jobs... But the C-suite should definitely cut their compensation. They won't (who would), but we should all take a hit here.

What about for people who aren’t on a bonus plan, but rather on commission?

Bonuses will be cut in half. Q2 results sadly no good. Stealth layoffs ahead. Good luck to all.

I have heard on excellent authority that employees will NOT be receiving the full September bonuses. Company management is reducing the overall bonus target due to low corporate performance in 1H 2023.

So plan on getting a substantially lower bonus than you received in March.

Total BS.

Guys if you are affected here is advice for you.

HR is NOT your friend....they are ruthless f**Kers who Will do anything to make Alteryx look like gold

If I was you, I'd hand in a sick note now and use that time to focus on yourself

Your manager does NOT care about you. They are fully aware and already know who will be made redundant

The senior leaders are all fake!! They are quiet frankly full of sh*T and will lie to your face.

Q2 earnings to be announced EOD on August 7. Rolling layoffs happening between now and then.

No formal announcement of layoffs is planned as part of earnings announcement. Will be a stealth layoff, hence rolling nature over a period of several weeks.

Expect to see a few “goodbye” emails and lots of LinkedIn announcements from people who got axed.

Good news is that people callously let go in the stealth rolling layoffs at the end of 2022 and early 2023, and also the recent 11% layoff, are finding excellent jobs and are doing well. Meanwhile, morale and motivation at Alteryx are completely in the toilet. Nobody is happy. Just about everyone is keeping their eyes on jobs and many are interviewing with regularity.

Confirming first week of August. Watch out for managers requesting out of band 1:1 meetings.

Unfortunately they won’t get away with another stealth layoff. Too many people watching too closely now.

Management just doesn’t care. C-suite execs are all so two-faced. Every single one of them.

Brace for [layoff] impact !! Poor second quarter is following on from the poor first quarter.

Somebody’s gotta pay for the poor company performance, and it certainly is t the executive C-team !!!! It’s BOGU time for the employees. You all pay for the poor executive decisions while the C-team revels in their stock and bonuses !!

Ok... so they lay off some really good people a couple of months ago, some real talented individuals. Then they complain that the moral is low and everyone needs to be in the office on Tuesdays.

Then rumours appear that there are more layoffs...how does the company expect us to stay motivated when we don't know if those still there are on the ki-l list?

The place is really shambles, how do they expect customers to work with them when they are laying off good talent???

And to those su-king up to the leaders... mate they don't care about you.

It is going to be more stealth and rolling layoffs, not a big one like they did last quarter. They don’t want to disrupt the stock price again.

My money is on August 3rd or August 4th for the next round based on the timing of the all hands and other executive leadership meetings.

Confirming my earlier post again. Layoffs coming within the next month.

Management is planning to make it another “stealth” layoff like the first one late last year. Just ahead of folks’ next RSU vest.

The calm before the storm. They anticipated poor Q2 performance. Not much of this was news. Simply put, fewer people are making major purchases. There will undoubtedly be layoffs in next 30-60 days and likely past that.

I hope everyone helps each other out with their job search.

Nobody is safe here.
