I think more and more that among the many reasons why people leave here, the biggest reason are the bad managers they had. Very possible, right?

It’s the low pay, micro managing using competing metrics and all the mandatory overtime. For TL E we have been on mandatory OT since September 2022 with no end in sight.
@7qrd-if having a clue as you state is a prerequisite to posting then why are you posting in direct violation of your own guideline? Hypocrite.

No...no not at all, in any way shape or form are anyone stating the skill level of teammates as the reason they leave, like who does that. Its pay, lack of advancement, or dislike of the role as the top reasons that dont include finding something better elsewhere or some neutral answer. I dont think ive ever seen on any exit interview someone left because their teammates lacked skill....maybe you your in tech is that even an issue there?
Why do so many people here post about stuff they have no clue about?
Bad managers dont help, and only amplify what are some atrocious work conditions.
People leave because its a perma-staffing crisis, all hand on deck every day forever, back to back calls every minuet of the day with no downtime other than assigned breaks. Nasty policy holders who treat you like a punching bag for things outside of your control. Low pay.
These are the reasons people quit. A good manager will make it tolerable to hang in there, a bad manager and people just bounce. The job su-ks and the pay is too low, thats the root problem should anyone ever want to attempt to fix it....
When managers accept they are part of the problem, the problem will never be resolved.
Poor attitude and inferior skill set of teammates is the number one answer in exit comments.
