Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Dell management have zero credibility

I got my WFR in May and have not been looking for work since. Dell management are generally inexperienced and unqualified for their role right across the board. It's hard to take orders from id*ts who just understand buzzwords. I am so glad I was the one chosen in my team as I had been quiet quitting for some time and nothing would entice me back now.

Tell Dell is a waste of time.
It makes it sound like managment care.
They dont.Once the over inflated wage packets keep coming and shareholders are happy all is good.

Best part is one week before telldell every manager instructed everyone how is scoring done and that only 9s and 10s do count. So we continue to live in echo chamber.

The clueless leadership teams....

Let me tell you who is a joke... the NEXTGEN team... the mo--ns do naff all, tag opps on SFDC, walk around half of the day looking busy. You got inexperienced people getting into management roles, you got managers promoting their favourites... it is a joke. You got the grads lusting over the leaders in a bid to get promoted quick.... bloody nonsense. YES this is all happening in the london offices.

Dell doesn’t question current management because the incompetence goes all the way to the top. They’re all in on the game and no one is going to say or do a peep.
Meanwhile I’m stuck with layers of clueless VPs that don’t seem like they even know how to turn on a computer much less effectively manage their orgs. Nothing is going to change until Dell starts making hiring decisions based on merit or skill instead of MBAs, which is never going to happen because the MBA hires will never admit they don’t know what they’re doing.

I retired from dell a few years ago (on my own) and I must admit that working with emc , the managers didn’t have to do anything, we all knew our jobs, so it’s kind of surprising that dell isn’t questioning the current management.

Basically describes how everyone at Dell is feeling lately. The managers are completely useless, promoted into roles they know nothing about and dragging entire orgs down with them just so they can somehow advance their careers by showing up to meetings where they just smile, nod, and go back to doing nothing. Anyone who isn’t quiet quitting is a su---r, including the no-life weirdo who keeps commenting about ex-Dell people 10000 times per day as if anyone cares.
