Thread regarding Alteryx layoffs

Just make sure not to quit

I hear too many people talk about quitting and I personally believe that's a huge mistake. Why walk away and leave possible severance behind? If you are good at what you do, you'll be able to find a new job whether you try now or in a month or two. There's no reason to rush out when there's money involved.

I see a lot of jobs out there. I think you just need to be more aggressive, and be willing to take a pay or title cut it needed.

Actually the job market is really rough out there. In 2 months, I’ve only been able to secure two interviews. I’m ok walking away from severance if it means I’ve secured a job for the next 24 months

That’s wonderful to hear mate. Heartening for many laid off who are still looking for their next gig.

Please share your wisdom on job search for the benefit of others.

I thought the same but the job market is quite allright. Especially if it is not big tech. I got several offers now after a casual interviewing period. Salary also is comparable.

So many people talk about quitting. 99% never do. The job market is tightening up out there, so most folks at Alteryx will just hunker down until they get laid off.

Remember that the average tenure of an Alteryx employee is 14-18 months. If you’ve been there for two years or longer, you are considered a true veteran.

Another wave of layoffs is incoming given the poor Q2 results, so brace yourselves !!
