One of the very few profitable businesses in Intel, yet Intel investment is being eliminated and they're looking for a buyer or buyers

ASUS have bought it:

Exactly I really think they actually lost money. If you figure the wages, building Bill of Materials etc...I bet Intel was wrapping 100s of dollars on each NUC. Long overdue
Anybody working on NUCs should've seen the writing on the wall years ago. NUCs have always been insanely overpriced. You could find name-brand laptops that included a display, keyboard, trackpad, RAM, storage, and OS for less than a barebones NUC kit with the same CPU. Lower-priced competing products with AMD CPUs have been available for at least 7 years. The NUC group's latest "extreme" products are overpriced small form-factor desktops that are larger, more expensive, and lower-performing than systems built from off-the shelf mini-ITX parts. The marketing folks in that group must be living in a bubble.
It’s out in the media now… PC world…
"Management are conniving sly foxes with no remorse to well being of employees and or company or self respect for themselves."
Wait, were you talking about management, congress, or corporate media?
I can't tell the difference anymore. All three are void of any character.
I actually like these products....
Good about time....everyone and their brother can do this one trick...long overdue..
Sell, spin off, split up, and be done.
Management are conniving sly foxes with no remorse to well being of employees and or company or self respect for themselves. How do you wake up everyday, look in the mirror, and be ok with all the lies told to your employees. You are pathetic. Stand up, grow some b*lls, and do the right thing. Tell the truth at least. Stop being an android to the corporation Jardin..it's very contrived and blatant it's just sad. Do you lie to your children this way as well. Employees are not little kids. We know what is going on. Treat us with dignity, honesty, and be straight forward. We literally need to drain the swamp at this point.
Even if Lenovo buys it, would the employees be saved?
Probably too late for this anyway?
I heard they may keep DEI.
NUC is a commodity sorry. 2009 Intel closed shop on Intel motherboard group. More of the same. ODM take over in full force.
Out in the press, or not??
Why Lenovo is always involved? Previously Lenovo was also been brought up when DSG was exiting
Lenovo.
You heard it here first.
