Here it has become impossible to relax and do your work because there is a constant fear that you might lose your source of income, no matter how hard you work. I think I've had enough, maybe it's high time to leave?

Calm down!
T mobile is really nothing special any more. They threw a lot of money at the all star game. Those are salaries. Grab your ankles
Just wait for the first substantial hurricane after they release a bunch of techs. It's going to be brutal.
I'm retiring if I get laid off this round...fingers crossed...
Welcome to Corporate America.

I still like the TMO for the free foods
Well I work as a Switch Tech and we have already had substantial head count losses, field techs are already working on the new models but we also have women in the engineering department. Managers, Techs both switch and field so not sure about the comment above. Apply for open roles and apply yourself, you may be surprised
Fear of layoffs, and fear of side affects. Be sure to wave your p-m poms at the next town hall.
Anxiety is a co-morbidity of you know what, btw.
Well su-ks we are Sprint 2.0. Rumors say switches will be down to 2 people per market. Managers will be let go. Field techs will also be rearranged.. All in September....... Be prepared people... I'm trying to.
This is why some months ago I posted a reply to some thread that TMo is Sprint. Sprint is TMo. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Layoffs at Sprint were always a thing. They became so prevalent that we all knew that it wasn't a matter of if, but when! And don't fool yourselves, TMo had this same culture before the merger, too!
The best advice one could have while working at this company is to make yourself as valuable as possible, so that when your number comes up, you are marketable and can find a new job easily. Or, resign before they get you...but that still means you are valuable and have found another job at a company that realizes your value.
If you're not valuable and have been skating by, you'll sweat each and every time one of these waves comes up. It's crummy, but, its the reality.
You're not guaranteed anything in this life. You should be prepared on any day for the following:
- Laid off
- Fired
- Death
This is exactly the way it is. All of the managers constantly tell you you will find something better, but we don't know that it is you.
It is pathetic, especially the full blown discrimination against woman in engineering places. Check the diversity at the Tampa office. I rest my case.
This was the way it was at sprint for development from 2003 until at least 2007 when everyone bailed for metro or got stuck at e///
