Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Redundancy Studies Underway for Transformative Growth

After the recent meetings in ANI for redundancy cuts the introduction of redundancy studies for ANI, India, and America roles and departments. This is to study placements of tasks and roles into AI, technologies, and vendor supplier groups. The follow is what we are knowing for the studies:

  • Rolling of some roles into one representative contacts. Supplier vendors have introduced processes to roll claims functions into customer service policy handling roles allowing less need for contacts for different roles. Customers and agents can go to one area staffed by supplier vendors for most needs for policy service, billing service, and claims among other needfuls.
  • More customer self service for claims and adjusting including access to portals to submit self adjustment documents for auto losses and some property losses and for AI to price adjusting and generate real time claims settlements through the assessment systems. Makes claimants more self sufficient and speedier process for claims adjustment and settling.
  • Introduction of more UAV, drones, and satellites usage where needed for claims and property inspections.
  • Bringing in specialized legal supplier vendors that are skilled, licensed, and bonded to handle many legal and litigation matters. Already present supplier vendors can assist in bring these specialized supplier vendor groups in from their industry.
  • Introduction of new auto product to be introduced is simplified and more designed for customer self service and customer self management. New billing logic and tighter payment due dates and timeframes (in many states 100% down payment to bind and renew for this new auto product) eliminates many of billing reviews and services.
  • Underwriting AI based starting in 2024.
  • Studies in oversaturation and redundant placement of agencies within different areas. Elimination of lower retention and selling agents in areas where there are more agencies than needed.

All of the above will have many effects in result of reorganizations and changes and removal of departments and combining of departments and duties within the supplier vendor model. This should have resulting actions later in 2023 for ANI, India, and America Allstate.

The redundancy in claims has been QA and the EC group for many years. The fact that this company believes only a small percentage of employees know how to value claims is laughable and insulting to adjusters. QA bring almost nothing to the table. To pay a QA person 130K per year is a ridiculous waste.

Any strategy or process that keeps Rizzo and Wilson and their bumbling cronies around is failed and without merit. Looking at moving claims and legal overseas but keeping these two clowns and their gaggle of company ki-ling two bit overpaid hacks around shows how inept Allstate is all around. SMH.

3 or 4 years into TG and they're doing the studies NOW?

IMO this is another exercise like the employee evaluation games everyone went through at the start of TG. It's going to be a fig leaf "justification" for the next round of cuts. Overpaid consultants taking a pay-off to tell Tom that all of his plans are genius.

Just an absolute disaster Transformative Growth is. Wilson and is incompetent goons should be released immediately and not rewarded for the continuous failure to execute and lead. Allstate continues to spiral to the point of no return and it seems the demise is quite soon. I don't know whether as an employee or investor to say so sad or good riddance.

Sounds like the demise progression that Sears took…not coincidence with Tommy at the wheel…

Make sure that you gut every department before you go ….like Lampert gutted Sears….
And then shake your head in amazement like Lampert did when customers continue the exodus to competitors as the company you “lead” slowly dies…

These changes will not end the customer stampede out the door but will accelerate it…If you want the customers to do all the work on every issue, you better have the rock bottom price…with Tommy’s focus on margins, good luck with that….

The more I see and hear the more that it is clear that it is only a matter of time….Maybe they can even steal an old Sears motto or two..
“The softer side of Allstate”
“Allstate…solid as Sears.”

The good news is that the “out to lunch” board will reward Tommy regardless of the results…

These are all moves that leadership has taken due to failure to execute on original TG commitments. Mario inherited this mess from Glenn. Leadership should be embarrassed at lack of ability to execute. Full fledged s&i$ show.

Wow. A lot of specific details to just consider this all BS. And a lot of this has been discussed as possibilities within claims prior. It does seem something big coming down the pike regardless. Regards to the poster for providing this. Best to all.

Most customers do not want to DIY their claims. "Self-service" claims? Give me a break. Just another excuse to get rid of human workers.
PS The redundancies are in the executive and upper management branches, as well as in the QA ranks (get rid of the "check" the "checkers"....now THAT is a Redundancy).

The service and work model and architecture and strategy are a joke - Digital transformation and data exploit - clearly policyholders are not services and the AI model a joke

Children or highly paid Deloitte consultants sold the industry out and every employee and policyholder out

Leadership and their so called strategy is China model and data analysis is a fraud at everyone’s expense

All those so called partnerships and integrations with data that lacks integrity and selling test out to ram rod cr-p systems and governance through - then customers have to deal with the mess

Bad leadership all way around

SalesForce and ServiceNow stinks too

Consumers beware - risk management and compliance Fraudulent industry

Illinois is the poster child
