Customers are using the time to figure how to store less data. Synthetic data and digital twins are the name of the game. All those rosy charts of 175-200ZB are rubbish. That’s made up data. Companies are generating data but are also finding ways to dump old data. They are compressing the data and figuring ways to decompress it when analysis is needed. That way cold archive becomes even cheaper. Silly executives. Out of touch with technology

I noticed Heavy D mentioned the “next year” or “in 12 months” fairly frequently during his latest show and tell. Also did he not mention something about really needing the customers to start buying in the next year or things might get difficult? Makes me think that all the desperate income generation techniques have been exhausted. Now we wait for sales to pick up or get ready true panic mode next spring. Please imaginary/or non-imaginary person in the sky just let me get out with a package!
