So there is a hiring freeze. There are some shifting in responsibilities for devs and managers. There are no new projects (no work).
Is this an indication of layoffs?

BTS = Back to School
Next few weeks of "prep" panic, soon to be followed by a few weeks of "learners don't have access" panic. It calms down in October-November, just in time for re-org/layoffs at end of year.

I think you would need to be living under a rock if you don’t think come post BTS in North America there will be more change.
No idea what it will be or even if layoffs are going to be the main focal point, but yeah what’s there now is definitely not staying as is.
