Beware below strong and inconsistent folks. You'd be PIP'ed in the next round. If you feel isolated in the team and don't have important work, you are being set up for a PIP. If your manager mentions choosing a mentor, they'll write it on the PIP document to make their case. They go to any means to fire people if they have decided. My manager wrote lies about my work on my PIP doc.

They are going to layoff/fire/outsource 15% of the entire North American workforce this year. More is coming. PIPing off good people takes a few months though
Firing on what basis ? We already have 15% in the bottom bucket
The firings will start this July. Beginning of June was the precursor. No safety net. It won't be layoffs but firings. Because layoffs will notify if people are let go but firings require to reporting so it won't go into the news.
Beware of the Performance reviews. If you are a low strong or inconsistent or lower then you are at risk. Guaranteed, Cap1 will leverage this for selecting those individuals that get laid off. What su-ks is that you may be performing well, but the managers like/prefer other employees over you and will safe guard their future with a performance review. Start your job search now...
You're right, not many layoffs, even worse though, a major increase in "below strong" ratings coming here any day/week, strap on your seatbelts, it's going to get bumpy!
