After reading the whole article, your title is misleading .... there were 1700 employers ranked, so Chevron was 242 out of 1700; not 242 out of 250. However, if you spend some time with the data ... an interesting point does come out. There were 27 different industry categories in the rankings. Within the "Oil & Gas Operations, Mining and Chemicals" group within the top 250 ... Chevron (7.00) was lower than Total Oil Asia-Pacific (7.77), Shell (7.57), and ExxonMobil (7.24).
