Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Should I stay/should I go

After over 28 service I have been offered a new job elsewhere, I should I go? Should I stay?
I am expecting lots of go, go, go but after so long working in a great team, great tl, great manager I just can't decide, for me it's the people I work with everyday which matter not any higher and they are great!
My work/life balance is great (might not be so at new place where they are driving office working), pay is reasonable and I'd miss out on a huge redundancy chunk as I don't think there are any UK schemes right?
Any ideas please? Thanks

if you are close to a planned retirement then you could stay as the risk of the team being dismantled is lower, as DXC continues to shrink. But if you are planning to work for several more years its too long for quiet quitting and too long a period to assume your team will be left alone.
Also, if you were offered this job, were you applying or making it clear you were open to offers? Because that answers your then-rhetorical question on staying or going!

We are dumping useless people. You don't seem to be one of them. Please don't leave - stay back and grow this company. We are turning the corner.

With 28 years of service, you are definitely not going to be first in line if they do offer VR. I knew a colleague who had 18 years and it took them around 4-5 years of applying before getting redundancy! They wanna make the people who cost much less redundant…

You must be one of Execs or few lucky ones.

Most people who have been in DXC are underpaid, and over worked.

Its a no brainer why stay in a place where they can't even give you an annual merit for years. Your falling behind every year you stay.
