Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Stop taking care of CRE issues yourself, immediately.

Perusing some of these posts I see a lot of comments about inadequate lighting, no regular trash service, no soap, TP or paper towels in restroom, etc. HVAC systems not working properly or at all.

STOP WORKING IN THOSE CONDITIONS. STOP BRINGING YOUR OWN SUPPLIES IN.

Open tickets. Notify your supervisor, and leave. They want you to work there, fine. Executive leadership dropped this bo-b and CRE is clearly not prepared to support it in in some of these locations that have been neglected for years. Do not provide cover and allow the whole mess to be glossed over.

If you open the tickets and notify your supervisor, you are both covered.

I'm guessing you guys are not going to do very well at your next endeavor!

“ We still have to bring our own supplies such as TP, paper towels and portable heaters for the winter months“

No, you don’t. You don’t have to do any of that. So stop doing it.

“ Urinal does not flush ur--e and they won’t fix it. CRE guy doesn’t care“

You are not trying hard enough. Makes me wonder what kind of employee you are honestly. Guy doesn’t fix problem? He has a boss in Webphone. Open another ticket immediately and send an email to his boss with that ticket number, explaining the issue is not getting fixed. Repeat as necessary.

Catch rats and mice at home and bring them in. Bring in your food scraps from home to attract and feed rodents. Make CRE pay attention and let the Health Board know. LOL

At times I am going to the toilet in a chamber as part of this process, since the pipes became increasingly clogged with the physical act of going to the toilet. By the twentieth time I have lost feeling of getting ready to go the cubicle.

“Union member. No manager needs "supplies" to work.”

We like union members, most of us ‘managers’ don’t actually have reports- they just label us that so we can’t unionize.

In any case- union or manager, we all need somewhere to sit, somewhere to park, and definitely toilet paper…

The rats wanted union pay scale to eat the garbage piles.

Lol, we’ve been opening tickets for over a year now. We still have to bring our own supplies such as TP, paper towels and portable heaters for the winter months. It’s a waste of time even trying to open tickets because nothing ever happens with them. There’s no internet, phone or printer there, so if we ever work from there we have wireless access on all our devices so we really don’t need it. Of course they have key locks so there’s no way to badge in, so I rarely go there anyways.

" Are you in management? Disgrace if you are. Managers should be problem solvers"

I suspect this is tongue in cheek or just trying to get a reaction.

Or maybe it really is a mouth breather that doesn't understand that the employer (NOT the employee) is legally responsible for providing a clean and safe working environment for it's employees.

Hold them accountable to provide the basic amenities that are required by law.

Trash not picked up? Let it sit and attract rodents if it's not addressed. Then contact local Board of Health.
