Is it normal to be utterly and completely bored at work? I've been with Allstate for a little over a year and I already hate my job more than I thought possible. How do you deal with that? I'm this close to quitting just because I can't take much more of this mind-numbing sameness of every day. This is only my second job and I have to wonder, does it ever get better?

The culture won't change if TW leaves. It's built in. Turtles all the way down.
You're really going places.
Most people don’t care about their job but love what the can do with their paycheck
People are miserable here because the leadership is phony, cruel, and greedy. The company is a follower not a leader in the industry. They follow the culture of the day and don’t take care of the golden gooses. This is the worst company I have ever worked for and I’ve been here a long time hoping it would improve. It will if Tom Wilson leaves. I’m only here for the money and benefits. It’s just a job not a career. If I had it to do over again I would leave after I was vested in the retirement / 401K. Hang on for a couple more years friend, that should give you time to find something better and get vested. If you can be disciplined enough to start to our own business do that. You sound young enough to take a chance. Maybe you could become a union organizer. This place needs one.
Nope. When it isn’t mind numbingly boring it’s soul crushingly frustrating. Say hello to your next 30-40 years on Earth, then you retire (we’ll probably not anymore with starter houses for 500k and ground beef at $10/lb) and die. Now use up those Applause points, it’s the last day and we’re at 47.25% usage, get these numbers up people!
Don't worry, you will be on the October 2023 layoff list.
