Our MD has asked for anonymous feedback in a team meeting on RTO. He is sympathizing with his team and somewhat admits that this is not what he wants but he can’t stop it either. Keep the pressure on and keep raising your voice.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there's nothing to "work". They (Walt and/or Rick) will never change their minds. For one thing, they don't want to look weak.
It's true that most of the leadership below them is not in support. Heck, word on the street is that the EC is hardly unified on this. But none of that matters. It won't change. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you can start taking action that will improve your situation.
There is no cavalry coming. Getting people to leave is part of the plan... the risk to them is not enough people quit.
