Other than horoscopes,a feeling in your gut,a conversation that you overheard in a toilet cubicle or your friends Aunty who saw a sign that the virgin Mary herself sent does anybody have any actual information on WFR in the coming months or we expect anything other than gossip?
I have heard no credible information as yet to support this and all McFly does is talk complete BS and seems to have no life.
Any possible credible dates and areas that will be cut?
Anyone?

@3yux+1nl984v7 - I'd guess last week of July - as there 30-days to close and have new forecast for EPS on August 31st for Wallstreet with better balance sheet and messaging investors like to haear
Heard it from a friend who
Heard it from a friend who
Heard it from another that your getting the axe now
They say you will get a pink slip
You're complaining every weekend
They're talkin' about you and it's bringin' me down
If the did more voluntary severance imam sure many would be lining up
Im posting on this "Actual WFR information."
Posts like this are why I'm glad I volunteered for a severance package last February. Ten years at Memorex and 29 years at EMC/taco dell. I wish all of you the best I really do. There is life after dell.
Didn't hear it from a friend of a friend, heard it form very senior person! You can take it to the bank. It's happening, dust the CV down and get ready. Numbers are in the pan, 90% of sales are way off their quota, this isn't a charity, it's a business!
LoL. More heard if from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from a another.
What is your very good source? People manager ?
Folks, mass redundancies happening world wide end of Q2. I'm not a disgruntled ex employee I still work here.
From a very good source, if it comes it comes!
@3fui+1nl984v7 Dont get peoples hope up just.
Think we all want out.
really?>forshure?
honest duper duper true it's really going down this time?
The person/people complaining about the ex dell laid off out number the handful of whining trolls by a factor of 2:1. Get over it already.
Oh, it ls going down. Just get the resume sorted and LinkedIn updated.
more pending doom predictions from the ex dell laid off crowd
yawn
Look out for "org update" meeting invites around the time of the next earnings on 31-AUG. If you get this invite, you're on "the list"
If second week in August is emea, does that mean US is before that ?
I have evidence of second week of August being the layoffs in EMEA
% given was very high and there is ongoing battle to trim it but we still talking above 10% workforce after sucessful req's protection.
General consensus is CSG being team with highest impact and all Sales/Pre-Sales roles down to 10-people-per-manager, than back-office
ISG is not expected to take a big hit (again) - support jobs as well ( but may be pushed to 3rd party maintenance )
I was given advanced notice to start exploring other opportunities, take it for what it’s worth
your all F#cked. Its over Johnny
nope, no self congrats. THe post sums it all up nicely
@2tmv+1nl984v7
stop with the self-congrats
@inh+1nl984v7 best post ever on this forum.
No just more gloom and doom and a lot of speculation.
Some will claim they are seeing bread crumbs and will draw from their vast experience. Those arent indicators no more than the weather is an indicator of wfr.
At this point, I think you would need to be a pretty far up the chain to be 100% in the know. Those that are in that realm usually are required to sign NDAs when WFRs are about to happen and most likely not on this forum. What I do know and have credible resources are from frontline managers that have had to turn in team stack rankings to HR. Usually this is pretty clear indicator that a roster of those to be cut is being prepared.
Additionally, what I also know from 25+ years in corporate America is indicators based on market conditions and sales performance. The tone and information provided in AHODs such as "diminished demand," "slower than expected market rebound," "lengthening product cycles," "have to make difficult decisions," are all code for the numbers aren't what we want and we have to make the numbers look better on paper. What can they control to make numbers look better? Reduce OPEX. Employee salaries are the largest chuck of OPEX by far so, I think you can fill in the rest.
Also, not everyone inquiring is afraid of a WFR, it is just the anticipation and waiting to find out that is hard. Also, many are already looking for other gigs and may want to time it well so that they can have the best of both worlds, a severance check and a waiting opportunity.
