Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Start to look now?

This week was pretty concerning; seems like a matter of time before I end up on the chopping block.

Wish the economy was better so there would be better opportunities but seems like its worth it to get started earlier on trying to find a better opportunity rather than waiting to be let go.

I’ve already started applying for new jobs. I’m working with 2 recruiters and more have been contacting me. Do what’s best for you. This latest layoff was the straw that busted the camels hump. If they want to cut people…..I’m going to leave on my terms…..not theirs

Ford sucks to work for. Always laying off. Why don't they retrain current work force?

Upper management sucks. Why don't they retrain to be actual leaders Worst leadership

Jesus, 20 years of going through this? Wow seems like a horrible way to live

From someone just trying to make through to their final few years...know these cuts will never stop. Over 20 years here and we have been in layoff mode the entire time. It is no way to live. Looking back, I have given up so much of my life for a company that continually gets rid of people like taking out the trash at the end of the day. Time with my family I will never get back.

I made it through this round but regardless, I started applying to new jobs yesterday. I intend to get out of here as soon as possible. I have no interest in continuing to work for this company, or live with this level of stress. It’s not worth it.
