Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

We being bough out by a bigger fish???

It was suggested that Seagate was in negotiations with a merger or being bought out by someone…I thought nawww Seagates too big but then I heard The Big D and his posse are doing the deed in Singapore & after the 4th he’s headed LCOs way to deal with some “sales” people that are not buying products but instead….business. Is it true? Names have been floating around…the Big A….a Com company…and is he trimming the fat at the other sites to make us look like a juicy morsel to the next big fish???

Bain’s stake in Kioxia, two postponed IPOs, and Kioxia in talks with WD takes them out of the running

Not till after bankruptcy Id bet in 2024. Why? So they can sc--w all the bond and debt holders and clear all debt prior to a distressed asset sale. Cr-p I should have volunteered for the package while it still existed.

Both WD and Seagate will have National Security issues if buy-outs become a real option. A government mandated sale could be a real possibility if things continue to head in the wrong direction. For for those few us left I wouldn’t go having any business cards printed up.

@pem+1nkJrpKe I could see a Bain or similar buying it up and then squeezing the last drops out. It is the natural progression for a distressed company. At the same time, there is easier money to be made.
