Biden announces $42 billion high-speed internet initiative
President Joe Biden is kicking off a more than $42 billion plan to give every American household access to high-speed internet by 2030.
The initiative is the next stage of Biden’s push to invest in America ahead of his reelection bid.
White House officials compared the plan to Franklin D. Roosevelt’s effort to bring electricity to rural America in the 1930s.

And my house will still have no viable wired internet access. Alll they need to do is throw the fiber cable across the not so busy street.
In other words, more money for Stink's bonus and some stock buy-back.
Too bad there won't be any leftover for, you know, expanding T's network.

A lot of this money will not go to T. Every cable, telco, co-op and wireless provider will be fighting for the money. Not to mention, municipalities will also want the funding to find fund their own buildout.

This money is funding Gigapower, which will be vendor work.
Too bad we have already cut back all the engineering and construction forces we would need to participate. That work will all be done by contract outfits.
