Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Incapable of turning an acquisition into a success

Mattel’s high overhead has destroyed the quality and price value of each of the brands it has acquired.

Say it again louder for the people in the back. Mattel could have turned every single company/brand we bought into a major win. Instead, we all know what happened every single time. This is the place where other brands go to die.

Successful years at Mattel are just d-mb luck. 2020 and 2021 were just success due to circumstances of pandemic and pent up demand . When the company puts it mind to “ growth mode” they miss the mark by 30% or more. Execs did not see their plan accurately play out when good years resulted and certainly did not see 2022 fall short financially. D-mb Fu#?£€ng luck.
