While those who are capable tried to work hard, mediocrity strove to be boss's favourites. And so who is in greater uncertainty about eventually losing their job?? Unfortunately, those who were more dedicated to their work. This is a place with twisted values.

"...are the mediocrity..."? That does not even make sense. You mean "the mediocre". You should go back to 1st grade English and learn grammar.
