I was laid off a few months ago and I can tell you that it truly turned into a blessing in disguise many often talk about. A lot of people (including me before the layoff) are stuck at Seagate because it's something they know and they don't want to rock the boat, despite being far from satisfied with their job. I just wanted to return here to tell you that it does get better. Leave your comfort zone and you won't regret it. I now have a job I enjoy and I earn as much as I did before. But to be truthful, I would have taken a pay cut in return for the loss of toxicity and a renewed excitement about what I do.

Happy to see many lay-off people in the end found happiness & more than $100k each severance package. Thanks Seagate for the memories
Congratulations on the new opportunity! Working at c-gate is a job. No more. No less. RIFs $u-k and we can probably agree this company is mismanaged with beardy J and heavy D being part of that mismanagement team. One of the best parts of working at c-gate continues to be the people. I had the opportunity to go to a badger on the hill event. Was great reconnecting with many of those impacted by the many many many prior RIFs. All we’re doing well and moving on to new opportunities and life events such as grandchildren.
I got laid off on May 22nd...just Accepted offer on June 22nd for a 15% raise at a company that is making devices that literally save lives. Getting laid off from Seagate was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Good luck all!
Good post. Glad it’s worked for you and thanks. I’m looking forward to having my turn. It’s never to long before the next Seagate layoff. And yeah, for some reason there’s a fair number of mentally off balance people here.
So you jumped back on a layoff site, creating a post to tell us happy you are away from Seagate..cut it out dude.....be honest, you miss Seagate or you're super bored and just wanted to help everyone out? Very kind of you. I'm 12 years now, love it here tbh....no job or company is perfect, but works for me, but I do want my 10% back...take care
