Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

I am thinking about suing Portland for all the CO2 they have released driving their cars and heating their homes.

I wouldn't be surprised if we started getting sued for events related to the climate change that was occurring prior to the presence of humans, which was when climate change was dramatically more prevalent than any recent era.

I wouldn't be surprised if we started getting sued for the wildfire damage as well since the climate change is driving these fires so much.

Portland should be careful as the the legal precedent they set. In the unlikely event that they win this case they just might open the door for massive actions against the developed countries by the less developed countries who generated a lot less CO2 over the last century.

You can sue anyone you like, I suppose.

Can we sue the city of Portland for letting people drive cars/etc and as a result making the air harder to breathe at Chevron park?

I think there is a law against bringing frivolous law suits.

Sounds resonable, but should not all the people that burned the oil and gas not be co-defendants...meaning like everone in the developed world!
