Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Xerox Service

Can anyone advise what the current state of xerox service is relative to competitors? I’m hearing that, “all industry players are having problems due to supply chain constraints not just xerox so stop complaining.” Any objective insight regarding average response times, part availability, and service resources / experience relative to industry standard would be great… just wondering how much poison if any is in my kool-aid.

You know things are bad when all the FSM has for your concerns is heavy petting and, “look at those (watered down) metrics!”

Service tech here. Parts availability is not a major issue on office machines. The system has improved vastly since the supply chain issues during COVID.

Manpower though, that’s another problem. Some smaller NX machines have been outsourced to another company so we can make SLA

Whereas before COVID, my area had three techs on the road, I’m now the only one left.

Everything Xerox does today is on the cheap … the axiom “you get what you pay for” applies here ,

Ask yourself why Xerox dealer channel doesn't have parts availability issues but direct/xbs does. Constraint on inventory and parts is lack of devoting enough operating income to stock. It's by design.
