Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Peace be with you.

Well folks today was my last day at the farm. Thanks for paying for my education that has allowed me to find another opportunity that pays more. Today was great to release the Golden cuffs I was locked into for so many years with the lack of opportunities and countless interviews that wasted my time because every interview seemed to have a carcasain prime candidate. Thanks for the memories of all my supervisors and upper leadership who promoted development and leadership but lacked both. Good luck to everyone still at the farm. All I can say is it will be a bump ride come next year change is coming and I'm glad I won't be there to be a part of it. Peace!!!

Lol, all the people saying "good". Your company paid for this guys degree and wont use it, that is bad. That is money the company wasted. Im in the same boat and starting to look externally to use the degree this company bought me. Thus far, the only thing the degree has gotten me is the same role. Pay for a management degree, have me answer phones while my manager has a music degree. Sounds about right.

Its actually remarkable how poorly this company takes care of its rockstars or people the company itself invests in. Mindblowing actually.

@4vep+1ng2pdYZ has clearly never worked for State Farm to suggest that WFH people get to slack.

If you had worked here, you would know that there is tons of tech monitoring WFH workers, even to the point they will know if you are inactive or even using something to fake activity. They also have tons of metrics for everything done and completed no matter your role.

The only people who get to slack are executives, and that slacking is the wasted time in meeting going over metrics for metrics.

Why leave? You get to work from home, play on your phone and watch Netflix all day. That’s what most of us do now. Thank you State Farm.

Boo hoo. A wannabe that couldn’t make the cut. Blame it on someone else is what losers do. You own it. News flash, your next career opportunity will likely be filled with the same underperformance and frustrations.
