Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

i retired years ago

living well on pension and bonus and benefits. doing nothing like I was when employed here -it was a different time internet was just in the early stages you knew your boss and cared about things. The only difference is communication industry is a commodity now not new tech. Just capital intensive with little returns. I just happen to catch it right. Sorry for those that are in this industry. Even if Randy and John made good decisions it wouldn't have mattered.

You retired 30 years ago? Damn. Because "the internet" has been an integral part of every job I've had, including here at T, since the mid 90s.

Why are you still on the layoffs site?

Glad it worked out for you. But if the company hadn't squandered $100B in debt for nothing and spotted a rival $5B in cash and spectrum, I think our position would be better. If nothing else our stock would be worth more.
