To all the people who come on this site or one like it and say some version of, “stop whining and leave,” YOU are the toxic a$$hole the rest of us are talking about. YOU the one we text or Slack each other about when you’re sucking up in a meeting. YOU are the one we roll our eyes at. YOU are the one telling the emperor his new clothes look just great, when everyone can see he doesn’t have any clothes. You may not realize it, but YOU are a key reason why the environment has become toxic. YOU are are a big part of why people who are decent, honest, hardworking, and just want to be treated fairly and with respect don’t want to come some stupid party to celebrate a fantasy of USAA being like it was when we started years ago. If you don’t like the comments you read here, don’t come here.

You seem far less well than the individual you are replying to. At least that individual is posting truthfully. You appear to be a sociopathic bootlicker who would stab their own mother in the backs. Based oh my assessment, you are either a current member of the EMG at USAA or you are working hard to get there.
Your day will come when the company shows you the dorr after years of what you consider dedication to the company. Don't expect any sympathy from anyone else either.

You seem unwell. Do you understand that a job is a way to earn money to live a good life? It's not your life. If this job isn't giving you enough money---respect---benefits---then absolutely go find one that does. So much whining about how people are mean, they want me to work in an office, blah, blah, blah. And on one hand saying you are the decent, honest, hardworking people as you also say I'm just gonna collect a paycheck, do as little as possible, fly under the radar.
By all means, you have the right to unionize, whine on this and other sites, complain daily. But if that's how you want to spend the rest of your career I just think it would benefit you and those who care about you to find a happier place.
It’s the ones who have the USAA glasses on and drink the kool-aid who tell people to suck it up and leave. That mentality is why USAA is in the shape it’s currently in. We had a VP in HR who at the August 2021 employee meeting said “we over invested in the employee, and will now line up with normal industry standards.” And the kool-aid drinkers applauded, do they not understand that people came to USAA because they went above the industry standards!?! But they throw One Republic at ya’ll and it’s “Thank you for everything USAA,” the Holiday Party, “Thank you so much USAA, we don’t deserve this, but thank you!” And when Wayne runs this ship right into the ice berg, “Thank you USAA, this is the best and we employees don’t deserve you.”
We’re already in the ice bergs path, and Wayne will jump on his life boat and sail away, leaving the masses to try and save a damaged ship. The only problem, the water has already filled 5 compartments, and the ship can only stay afloat with 4 filled up.
OP here. I didn’t actually say “don’t call other people names.” I even said some people were passive aggressive a$$holes, which is me calling people names. AITA? Maybe. But at least I’m not eating cake and telling the emperor his clothes look great while hardworking people are losing their jobs.
