"This story will sell"

Go write a book about it then. Just copy the 10,000 posts you written about it here and you're done. Spare us from your incessent whining. We are tired of your so-called story.

Most in mid mgmt are worthless. Not only are they lazy, they're stupid and couldn't do anything worthwhile if they had too! AI timing couldn't be better.
I'm waiting on that one individual to get what he's got coming. I don't understand how he and possibly others can live with themselves. Oligarchy and commodities.
He will be wishing that he could be a commodity.
Life has a way of correcting itself. This story will sell.

And they can also count on middle management support! Wait, not so much!

Didn't they just let go the entire strategic client team, the one org who had people that could tie together all products for a big customer? So now we're reverting to a bunch of reps who don't know their client/industry/product and competing with each other...

“ Hate to break this to you, but SEs are unimportant “

That’s the Oracle attitude. SE’s are treated that way, but (the good ones, at least) are in direct day to day contact with the customers. SE’s are the face of Oracle to many of our customers, and when the SE is treated as if they were replaceable, then the customer views Oracle as also be replaceable.

Oracle culture will never change as long as Larry is still there. Any actual change requires new leadership at the top.

Which all makes me wonder what the real reason is for those statements by Safra. Loss of some of Oracle's biggest customers perhaps?

When they move all the SE’s around ...

Hate to break this to you, but SEs are unimportant. Worse yet, they're part of sales and LE hates all sales people.

When they move all the SE’s around, so that customers are forced to train a new one, they are not neither helping the customer nor the SE. these reorg happen again and again! Why build a relationship that is doomed to end!

I'm surprised lighting didn't strike both on earnings call. Truth is not in them. But they do realize they now "need" their customers. "Oracle has changed it's spots" says SC.

They have no idea how simple it could be. When employees are treated as the greatest asset of a company (this is textbook) customer's will come as long as pricing and terms are fair. Loyalty has to be earned and it starts with being honest. Oracle has failed for decades ...abusing employees and customers...it a;lways comes back. Negative management produces negative results.

I hope Oracle has changed it's spots however, spots don't usually change and if so, not overnight...it takes a lot of work. Words have to be backedup with action. Facts are facts and truth can not be hidden.

Now would be a good time for them to step forward and clean-up the corrupt mid level mgt mess. It's not hard to find where to start. They could do it if, they wanted too. And if they don't do it then, they won't be able to stop self destruction.

Stock price is best since 1999.
Analyst said, Oracle is in a great place but, late - years behind the others in the AI race. He stressed how expensive AI is (meaning only those that are willing to invest what it takes will finish the race) He said the race will be long and narrow with Microsoft, Amazon and Google as the only winners.

Oracle could invest a boat load of money to catch-up. Not sure anyone believes that they will. Oracle's stock is great right now but, most likely short-term. Long-term is doubtful. LE and SC have too much money to be motivated, totally committed to what it would take to change Oracle's spots. They need to hire the right people, Nobody there knows how to change their spots. They are just playing a short-term game. SC's comment on how they are doing so well is interesting. She mentioned...Minimizing, cutting costs has been profitable and their loyal customers are using Oracle for everything....old and new products because they have such strong wonderful loyal partnerships with each customer. She sounds like she believes herself. I think LE believed everything he said... fantasy not reality. Hope Oracle has changed it's spots. Corruption will have to be extracted, first.
