Feel like I’ve been paroled. Company has really gone downhill the last 4-5 years.

Thank you all for the well wishes. Best of luck to each of you. OP
I can’t imagine why you would want to retire with the poorly constructed layoffs of 2020, 401k match pull, continuous vacation carryover removal, vacation accrual change, hot desking, conversion of toilet paper to single ply sand paper, etc.

Congratulations, OP! Best of luck in your retirement. I'm also pulling the plug on this. I'd thought I'd want to stay for another 5 years or so, but, enough is enough. Fully agree that the Company has gone way downhill past 5 years or so.
With lump sum interest rates rising, there will be more retirements announced this summer especially for CL-28/29 employees.
Future managers will be lucky to make it to CL-27 before retirement.
Congratulations OP! I retired a few months ago, didn't know life could be this much fun. I hope you have a great retirement and I'm glad you escaped the xom prison.
If I was in your position I would spend the next six weeks flipping my middle finger to management in all possible ways: derail meetings, call them out on their bs, disagree just for the sake of disagreeing, spread rumors, propagate negativity, destroy morale, and talk the younger crowd out of this h311 of a place.
Don't forget to go to a pawn shop and pawn away your 1 year, 5 year, 10 year, etc. anniversary pins, I think you can get like $10 for the lot.
Congrats! You have served your life sentence and gotten out early for good behavior…
The best thing about retirement is being empowered to say, "NO", when asked to serve on a committee, task force, EM initiative where you have absolutely no expertise to contribute to the team objective and mission. Saying "NO" without it limiting your career development is one of the most rewarding items after retirement.
Saying "YES" or "VOLUNTEERING" for some initiative or project where you do have something to contribute is truly rewarding.
Happy trails, podnuh.
Find a good place to live and lump-sum everything into external IRAs. Other than the Aetna plans, cut all ties.
Or even that.
Freedom.
Yikes. Like it never existed. De-plaque the brain.
Congrats! You endured to the end.
