Thread regarding USAA layoffs

My RTO z exception was approved ECIO

They are being fair in my eyes. Anyone else have a request granted or not granted ?

I’m over 60 miles and caregiver for a disabled individual

I have several of the approved exceptions and was WFH years before COVID, but our entire department which is spread across 3 states were told by our fresh off the street, big bank reject executive who doesn’t live in a state with a regional office and therefore, WORKS FROM HOME (when she isn’t bouncing between San Antonio, Phoenix, and Tampa on USAAs dime) that everyone must return to the office 3 days a week, 8 hours a day, and they are monitoring adherence.

Nothing this ho is doing to please the Peacock makes any sense. We also didn’t need another “leader”. At the rate they are going with the Make USAA, Wells Fargo campaign, we’ll soon have more leaders than people to actually do the work.

FWIW, my exception was approved as well. I actually met one of the reasons that an exception SHOULD not have been necessary, but for whatever reason my name wasn't on the right list. I had to do the exception, and it was approved. So at least someone did right by me. I'm sorry to those that didn't get what they asked for though. USAA is not being reasonable company-wide in RTO.

In my area quite a few people under 60 put in for an exception because it was over an hour. And in some cases they were really fudging it being over an hour. It can’t hurt to try

Looks like Wayne is sipping his martini and trolling the site this weekend. He doesn’t even remember his own policy. Over 60 miles…SMH

Clearly, this person is not being truthful. A plant to say "USAA is so great"? That is my conclusion. More USAA B.S.

Ummm, ok. Your 60 miles from the nearest office, so why would you need an exception? I live in San Marcos, moved here in June 2021 because I was told and it was approved in writing that I would be permanent remote, with the occasional going into office when my director and EMG team are in town. So I’ll get to enjoy a 90min drive in the morning and close to 2 hour drive in the evening come September. Why is it, when an MSR lies to a member, they’re either put on corrective action or terminated, but when the company goes back on its word, it’s ok in their eyes.

Why would you need an exception if you live outside 60 miles?? Getting an exception approved when no exception was needed does not mean they are being fair, it simply means you need to open your eyes.

Typo? You said you're over 60 miles... you weren't requires to RTO in the first place, lol. 🙄

What about all the other workers at 57,58 miles away? What about the people they lured in during 2021 with the promise of remote work only to tell them they are required to come in 4 days a week? Then laid off. Tour anecdotal experience doesn't make USAA less of a pos predatory company
