Impacted people will be notified by end of June. Managers have "notification trainings" next week.

Layoffs should always be ongoing, this is a healthy part of business - always re-evaluating and adjusting to business needs. These large, bombastic cuts should never happen in there is competent management.

It's because Intel's leadership can't communicate and show, "this is the headcount we need." When a certain celebrity exec came to Intel... he spent his all hands meeting showing us how to make a power point.

It's because those holding the scissors are afraid to cut the wrong people and jeopardize a product tape in or launch.

It's because we have people trying to get into leadership positions whose OKR's consist of complaining and finger pointing with the benefit of hind sight.

Layoffs haven't really even started. The company needs to cut about 30,000 heads.

So far, the only thing that has been accomplished is bloviating about $10B in cuts that haven't materialized and all the employees are demoralized and productivity has ground to a halt.

TBH, I can't figure out why the HC hasn't been cut properly. Either the CEO believes the demand will come roaring back and IFS will take off so he doesn't want to have to re-hire.... OR the business units were given targets and the process is moving at glacial pace...

Either way, the amount of cash this company is torching each quarter is absolutely staggering... No, I am afraid this is going to end very badly...
