401k Match

I was looking at a possible SE role and see in the benefits that there is only a match on the first $1,000. Is this for real or is this outdated info on the website.

Employer paying into 401k is one of the most important benefits an employee can get. As mentioned before, just because you dont see this in your wages month to month doesn’t mean that this isn’t an incredibly important benefit.

401k match or at least a good proportion of salary contribution into your 401k is an important benefit. Don’t neglect it just because you can’t see that benefit in your pay now. You will regret it as you get older.

The $1,000 401k match is fact. There has been talk for years that it will be more inline with the market but so far that has not happened. Over the course of a career, one is missing out on a lot of match.
