Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Vacation/PBA time left

Is there a way to input vacation and PBA so you get paid in on it before getting laid off tomorrow? Makes you realize you should burn all of that time since they don’t want to pay it out to you (they don’t have to in TX)

Some managers will try to "guilt" you into helping transition your accounts but they cannot make you do a da&n thing or hold severance over your head. You 're done as soon as the call is over. Your manager will try to have a followup call to tell you how bad they feel. It's for them, not for your benefit. Start cleaning up your files and any personal files you have on your laptop. Technically, you will have about 30 days to return the laptop. They will send a reminder:).

It’s a loss. And I wouldn’t advise taking it for the remainder of time you have left this upcoming week. As “broke” as Dell is making themselves seem, they’re looking for reasons to negatively impact your severance.

Vacation payout is based on state laws. In some cases you get what you accrued but have not used.

Goes to show that people have got to use their vacation time when working for a meat grinder like Dell.

I put up with being made fun of for years by management, this is a huge blessing in disguise.

I think everyone’s last day will be the 11th so you can at least take this week!

No. It’s gone. Su-ks cause I have 4weeks vacation to use. I typically take in November and December.
