Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Platform-X, the path breaking AI technology

As you might have heard this in the analysts call, we are making a mark in this area. Our customers are elated and this will bring in revenue and margins.

Would be good to have all employees understand this leading edge offering and use it in the customer solutions.

If all of what you guys say is true, then why is the goal oriented EVP beating the "drum" about such an epic deal!

Because there is absolutely nothing else positive or even vaguely positive to talk about - he's hardly likely to highlight all the deals being lost which is why book-to-bill is back below 1, so a legacy deal which was bought by ridiculous discounting is all he can talk about - a legacy deal even the Indian outsourcers didn't want ...

almost 30% cheaper

Actually the Kyndryl contract was worth about 750M over 5 years, so more like 40% cheaper

In the recently mega deal with AnT & anT, Platform-X was the deal breaker and it snatched the deal from the competition

You should be a stand up comedian with jokes like that.

The AT&T deal was won purely by promising to do the needful at the lowest cost, almost 30% cheaper than the prior incumbent.

: @1vgh+1nW1JNV9 don’t blame Delivery as it’s Build , Sell, Deliver

We in delivery have to deliver the cr-p the was built or sold to the customer. We don’t have a choice!

Platform X has no AI, it’s if this, do that. Automation of simple tasks YES BUT NOT AI!

Oh you mean this?

a true legacy keep-the-lights-on-until-we-don't-need-it-anymore deal. That even then fails to mention the ultimate legacy platform-x
given there were no other bidders its hardly surprising DXC won it, in effect a renewal but at lower price, and AT&T were very careful to stipulate that even then its only a portion of their infrastructure (as in the "ancient" portion)

What are you guys talking? In the recently mega deal with AnT & anT, Platform-X was the deal breaker and it snatched the deal from the competition.

Mates, go on. Now go deliver it.

For Platform-X, read SRA but without the functionality

Hmm. Re: "So sit back and relax and retire!".

I am sitting, am relaxed, and retired from DXC some 5 years ago.

However, I still check back to this site to see how things are for those poor employees still working for DXC. I note nothing has changed, remuneration wise, nor management wise, nor the Emperor's New Clothes products.

If Platform-X doesn't make it, then maybe the next cloud based product should be called Nebulous Nimbus?

@5vmg+1nW1JNV9 - So, to be fair, the OP just posted what was said in the earnings call to a bunch of useless analysts (are all these guys getting kickbacks?). Seems like there are Atleast 45 people who totally disagree with statement which is absolutely a good opinion.

If all or some of the 45 people had backbones, they would have raised it a townhall, survey or by any other means to the management and followed it through. Which did not happen. So essentially you Dxc'ers deserve what you have been pelted with. So sit back and relax and retire!

At the time of writing, this post has achieved 45 down arrows.

Must be close to a record?

Either way, the OP should be feeling humbled for making such crass comments.

its also directly responsible for the 10+% shrinkage in GIS revenues last quarter - Mikey2 said so! Can't wait for it to exceed itself and achieve 12% shrinkage next quarter.
Amazing what a bunch of (very) old scripts can achieve ...

Yes, it is an amazing tool. Most people in DXC use it to fill the myriad timesheets!

DXC leaders can't even spell AI, let alone explain what it is.

@hix+1nW1JNV9 - If this product is so bad compared to SRA, why not go tell J Brandy (while he is not drunk) that we are pedalling a piece of cr-p. Seems like most people in delivery have no back bones. No wonder you guys don't get any salary hikes while others take more than their fair share.

The number of down arrows should make you realize, the people who actually work and prop up this company don't believe a word of what you're saying.

The customers (apparently elated), like the suffering employees, would like to know where they can learn about the virtues of this leading edge offering.

Would you care to comment?

These people live in their own world. The incompetency of the whole Platform X group is staggering and the whole delivery is making fun of them and their useless cr-p. SRA was performing better than their 'modern' platform 15 years ago. It was bringing new deals and now we are only losing the last customers by forcing them to migrate.
