Voting should be confidential by paper and untraceable except district info. Not everyone uses technology. Tying your name and vote together could cause retailiation later in grievance if vote is seen as unfavorable by Teamsters. Also no one wants forced advertising or debris that comes with giving up email or phone info.

UPS employees are less in number than amazon and wally employees who are the real goal to unionize. UPS folks just a stepping stone and in the way of much bigger plans.
Teamsters just put hand cuffs on its own members. But hey with few able to vote , now they can swing the new contract the way they want it to go--not the way the p_e-ons want.
Our group mostly got their voting packet today. Sure enough it has an access code tied to your own name at the top of the letter. Must use internet or your phone to vote , no paper voting allowed. Your vote is Not private. Paper voting stops discrimination and retaliation that can be used if you voted no and they were mad about it. Some of us are regretfully withdrawing our memberships at over 100.00 month each after August 22. New Teamster leadership really goofed this up by taking the cheap way out.
many jobs are on the line hoping for a complete voter turnout. would be sorrowful to see a contract fail due to lack of just paper.
People will not even try to vote if it means giving up privacy and the frustration will lead to canceling union dues. Why pay dues if you cannot even vote? May backfire if they do not fix this rightaway.
August 22 ? last day to vote maybe members can push for the paper.
Employees could not even access Teamsters site w/o logging in at the start of negotiations. Cheap easy way for Teamsters but difficult for members. Poor set up and not inclusive for all.
Closes the door on many would be voters. Leaves contract out come unpredictable.
