@newbie - the significance is that 8/3 is a Thursday and the company almost always executes their RIF on Thursday. There are whispers about layoffs this and next week (see Optum thread) and I personally know individuals impacted in UHC just last week.
What is the significance of 8/3? (UHG newbie over here)
