As someone else noted, narcissists will always be with us: strutting their stuff, showboating on slack, harvesting 95% of the credit for the team's accomplishments. That's the way of the world (corporate, nonprofit, wherever).
But even the most toxic narcissist knows to leave that residual 5% for the quiet workhorses in the background.
When the showy narcissistics are taking 100% and leaving the true contributors with nothing, how do you expect to survive? You are ki-ling the goose that lays the golden eggs. It is a self-defeating strategy.

100% on that meme channel. I've contributed a handful out there but there are others where it must be their actual job title - Lead Meme Generator. At times, the Charlie worshipping gets nauseating, like trying to be at the "cool kids" lunch table.
Speaking of channels, that old coronavirus one has turned into a cesspool of chemtrails conspiracy nonsense.
Most of Slack is out of control. Another way to look like a person is working when all they are doing is wasting time.
Funny. If you want to make yourself mad, check out the memes-n-things slack channel. Find some people that seem to post regularly and search their name in that thread. Theres engineers with 3K+ posts doing nothing but making memes.
I'm all for a little bit of fun and levity, but that thing has gotten out of control.
