WTF?? More highway robbery on Wells Fargo’s part. Why give Wells Fargo any kind of a tax credit when all they’re doing is undermining the US by offshoring jobs to India.
Charlie Scharf has no scruples, no class, no honor and zero integrity.

Its a JPM stronghold, that's why.
Time to open restaurants for new immigrants in Ohio.
So tell me again why we even need Charlie, when we can just copy/paste from Dimon for free?
Who needs Artificial Intelligence with they have Charlie?

OP here. Thank you! You said it better than I did 👍.
@fzn So WF will be fully hybrid about the time the rest of the industry is back to minimal public cloud use?
Not everything is moving to the cloud, at least not within the next 8-10 years. All the current data centers will be shut down over the next few years.
We have four new data centers being built. We have a few other locations where there are direct circuits to the cloud providers. They will ultimately not be owned by Wells Fargo.

Get new material. You already said that.
Why waste money investing in that state? They are all ignorant trumptards there.
Hmmm. Apparently the real reason Charlie and friends are hiring so many in India is to be able to have a team dedicated to downvoting negative posts and comments about him into oblivion.
They will just bring H1b here to take the jobs in Ohio.
I have no problem with a data center being built in Ohio, or in jobs being created there, or even the tax benefits. What pi---s me off is that the company's official position is "everyone gets hubbed because we're better together--unless there's a tax benefit for us, then forget all that noise." It's ridiculously hypocritical, just like how many exec types can live or work where ever they damn well please, RTO and hubs be damned.
Tax credit for a FOR PROFIT company that doesn’t use the savings to bolster their rank and file’s cost of living, but does use it to bolster executive compensation is the most vile form of corporate welfare there is. Billions in profits and in tax incentives, but doing nothing meaningful for your workers is the Wells Fargo way.
A tax credit isn't taking money out of any taxpayer's hands. It just means the bank keeps more of the money it earned instead of paying it to the government to waste how they believe it should be used. You can complain about so and so maybe making too much money, but the money will go to shareholders, salary, or whatever. And a data center in Ohio will bring jobs there. This is a good thing for company and for US jobs.
Since when is creating jobs controversial. If WF doesn’t take the tax credit, another company will. Tax credits aren’t infinite so it’s not taking from an endless pot. The ignorance espoused on this site is mind boggling.
Wells Fargo has $30 Billion to waste on a buyback, but has to take $30 Million of taxpayers’ money to build a new office building during a time when there are empty office buildings everywhere. Right.
All the existing data centers are in America. It wouldn’t make sense for a data center to be located outside the country. Also, there may be some data that can not be stored outside of the US.
Great, 2 big banks with data centers in the same geographic area…
I guess it’s true - anyone can be a CEO. WF Board of Directors should be ousted!
How are they going to staff it when it's not a hub? Oh wait, hubs are only relevant when it comes to finding excuses to fire people. Got it.
WF is employing Americans in Ohio. Unless you are a resident of Ohio, this should be good news. Complainers - you have CS derangement syndrome and it’s getting old. Btw, I can’t stand CS but I don’t spend my day harping on it.
Why do they need a data center when they are spending millions with Google and Microsoft for the cloud?
$30 million tax credit? Sounds like just enough for Charlie’s 2024 compensation package. It’s all a shell game. Tax subsidies equal cost savings and incentives that ALWAYS trickle up to the top of house, never to the rank and file. Robber Barons are quite alive and doing just fine in 2023 Corporate America. Got to love toxic, exploitative American capitalism.🤦🏻♂️
So is that a hub?
Ohio isn't really America, it's a bass-ackwards antiquated has-been America.
So CS built his new tech center next to his hero's (Chase) tech center? Did CS buy a house on the same street as Jamie Dimon too so he can get all excited and wave at Jamie when he drives by?
Well, sometimes you need to go where your competition and jobs are. You can't just produce them out of thin air.
Do you think they should open up a tech hub in Omaha?
Of course. JPMorgan Chase has an IT hub in Columbus, OH.
Our C-suite is full of Chase rejects that copy what they do. Literally. We have new data centers going up in Irving, TX. JPMorgan Chase has core data centers there.
They're building it...in America. You clowns will take any excuse to whine about offshoring
