Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

So many of you are in denial

I can't believe there are grown men and women who work for Dell who believe they're safe here. People who think their hard work is making them safe. Your head has to be buried really, really deep in the sand for you to convince yourself that's true. I feel sorry for every single one of you.

100% agree with OP. They do not care how hard you work. They cut me in February after largely exceeding quota in my first year with Dell. Best of luck to all of you, brighter days ahead!

No, this is real. People already know they're done next week. Not everyone at Dell posts or looks on layoff.com.

@1auv+1nTYms7P define “woke”… quickly

and what tangible proof do you have that HR, in quotes, said that… quickly.

When HR continually forces woke nonsense on you and tells you that you matter less than people in certain categories no matter how you perform, what do they expect to get? In my case they have someone who will work hard to benefit and develop myself but has zero loyalty to the company. Maybe they’re ok with that because when I benefit myself it usually benefits the company as well.

OP must be a biacth-ash leader or HR, venting because it knows it is safe this round. smfh.... Don't feel sorry for people who work hard, they'll be okay with or without Dell. You'll get yours fucter, one day, believe that.

No one is safe. Everybody has a place on 'the list' no matter what company you work.

Agree. I’m shocked at the number of people that can’t or won’t see what is barreling our way. No idea the number, but there are definitely WFR’s coming next week.

I never thought I was safe so I started saving more money in case of layoff and also started applying to new jobs in the meantime. Always be loyal to your craft, not to a company folks.

If you're 50+ and in a senior role, you are in danger. If you recently adopted new duties and have been asked to train and transition the old stuff to another person....rookie...you are on the layoff list.
