Thread regarding USAA layoffs

People kept telling me when I left USAA the grass isn't always greener....

I'm here to tell you that YES it is. Do not let them gaslight you into thinking it's bad out there that you won't find better benefits or pay. I'm making more in pay doing the same job I did at USAA with wayyyyyy less stress. And I'm no longer on anxiety medication .

Even if I wasn't being paid more it's a win, my well-being and life balance is so much better now

Do you need referrals to get a job in this market? I’ve worked in every cosa and now ECIO. ECIO is a truly horrible place to work with overbloated agile ceremonies and pomp and now I’m ready to leave

This is 1000% true!!
USAA will make you believe the grass isn’t greener elsewhere, they’ll make you doubt yourself, out fear in you about a bad job market. Well folks, the grass is greener, I left back in March (after the bonus payout) for WaFd Bank (Washington Federal), full time remote! Yes folks, remote jobs are still out there and available! I’m doing the same job (Product Owner in the bank), higher salary and less stress!
